Adult Book Club
Wednesday, June 7 from 5 to 6 p.m.
The group meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month (1st Thursdays during the summer) at 5 p.m. New members are always welcome! Please contact the library for more information or to request a book. On June 7 we will discuss The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.  

Beginner’s Knitting Group
Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The group is open to all levels of knitters (ages 12 and up) – including those who would like to learn how to knit. Bring your own yarn & needles or borrow ours for the session. The group meets every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Artwork from Cortland Junior Senior High School students will be on display in the library’s art gallery throughout the month of May.  Join us from 5:00 to 8 p.m. on the First Friday of each month when the library joins the Cultural Council of Cortland County to celebrate the arts in our community with extended hours and an artist meet and greet.     

Writers Group
Thursday, May 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. 
Open to all levels of writers – including those who are new to writing and would like to learn more.  The group meets on the 3rd Thursday evening of the month starting at 6 p.m. 

*CFL Craft Club
Tuesday, May 30 at 2 or 5 p.m. 
 Each month we meet to make a craft chosen from Pinterest.  Follow our board on Pinterest at and bring a friend!   We will be making wool dryer balls. Registration is required.    

Chess Club
Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
An all ages chess club for beginners and experts.  Meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Beginners will get a lesson on the basics of chess and experts will meet and play. 

Adult Coloring
Any time the library is open
Coloring books and colored pencils will be available at the adult circulation desk for any adult that would like to join us for some coloring.  Sit down, relax your mind and color!   

Read It, Watch It!
Monday, May 8 at 5 p.m
Read the book, then watch the movie at home.  Meet and discuss them both with the group.  To make it even easier, if you are not able to make it to the discussion you can join our Facebook group – and give your opinion of both on there.  On May 8th we will be discussing The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the corresponding movie Bourne Identity starring Matt Damon.  Copies of each are available to pick up at the circulation desk.  This group will meet on the 2nd Monday of each month.  The next meeting is June 12th and we will discuss Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly and the corresponding movie Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillippe, and Marisa Tomei.
