Adult Book Club
Wednesday, May 3 from 5 to 6 p.m.
The group meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month (1st Thursdays during the summer) at 5 p.m. New members are always welcome! Please contact the library for more information or to request a book. On May 3 we will discuss A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.  

Beginner’s Knitting Group
Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The group is open to all levels of knitters (ages 12 and up) – including those who would like to learn how to knit. Bring your own yarn & needles or borrow ours for the session. The group meets every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. 

Cortland First Friday Art Event
Friday, April 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Artwork from Martha Phillips will be on display in the library’s art gallery throughout the month of April.  Join us from 5:00 to 8 p.m. on the First Friday of each month when the library joins the Cultural Council of Cortland County to celebrate the arts in our community with extended hours and an artist meet and greet.  Come participate in "Painting Intuitively!"  Martha will be offering a hands-on project from small abstract painting.  Also, local singer and guitarist, Cyril Antonio (Shaka) will be performing from 6-7 p.m.   

Writers Group
Thursday, April 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. 
Open to all levels of writers – including those who are new to writing and would like to learn more.  The group meets on the 3rd Thursday evening of the month starting at 6 p.m. 

*CFL Craft Club
Tuesday, April 25 at 2 or 5 p.m. 
 Each month we meet to make a craft chosen from Pinterest.  Follow our board on Pinterest at and bring a friend!   We will be making a bouquet of book page flowers. Registration is required.    

Adult Coloring
Any time the library is open
Coloring books and colored pencils will be available at the adult circulation desk for any adult that would like to join us for some coloring.  Sit down, relax your mind and color!   

Read It, Watch It!
Monday, April 10 at 5 p.m
Read the book, then watch the movie at home.  Meet and discuss them both with the group.  To make it even easier, if you are not able to make it to the discussion you can join our Facebook group – and give your opinion of both on there.  On April 10th we will be discussing Blind Side by Michael Lewis and the corresponding movie Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron.  Copies of each are available to pick up at the circulation desk.  This group will meet on the 2nd Monday of each month.  The next meeting is May 8th and we will discuss Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and the corresponding movie Bourne Identity starring Matt Damon.

Poetry Workshop:  Writing Creatively

Writers of both poetry and prose are welcome to this workshop held by Nancy Dafoe – writer, poet and educator.
