Stories, songs, and crafts with a different theme each week. All ages are welcome but this program is designed for children ages 3 to 5.
Books Before Bed
Monday, December 22 from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
A special pajama storytime. Be sure to wear your pjs and bring a favorite stuffie to leave for a sleepover at the library. All ages are welcome but this program is designed for children ages 3-5.
Holiday Lego Creations Contest
The Month of December
Your Lego creation must be Winter Holiday themed (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, etc.), 8 inches tall or smaller and must be able to fit on an 8×10 piece of paper. You can ONLY use Legos, tape, and one piece of cardboard to build your creation on. One creation per person. You can’t use a kit, but you can get inspiration from kits and books. Open for ages 5-18 with prizes for different age groups. You can drop off your creations Dec. 1-6. Display and voting will take place Dec. 8-20. Votes will be tallied and winners announced on Dec. 22 at 7 pm before our Books Before Bed storytime. Creations will be on display until Dec. 31.
Ready, Set, Read
Mondays, December 1, 8, & 15 from 6 to 7 p.m.
A program for emergent readers ages 4-7 and their caregivers. The program promotes early literacy skills through stories, games, and practice. At the end of the 4-week session children will receive a free book and parents will have learned activities to reinforce reading skills at home.
