Features read alouds & activities to engage young readers in a greater understanding & appreciation of local & American history. This month we’ll celebrate the cold by exploring the North and South Poles. Where are the poles, and who lives there—and how cold do they get? We’ll read stories about each, make masks to wear—polar bears (North Pole) and penguins (South Pole) and turn some homemade cookies into snowy islands. Geared to ages 4 – 8 but all families are welcome. Registration is required.
