Time Travel: Snowflakes

Features read alouds & activities to engage young readers in a greater understanding & appreciation of local & American history. In honor of winter, we’ll be reading and talking about snowflakes.  We’ll look at close-up photographs of a variety of snowflakes, then fold and glue snowflake-like doilies to make three-dimensional snowflakes to take home. Last, we’ll use more doilies, along with powdered sugar, to create a beautiful snowflake on top of a cake. Geared to ages 4 – 8 but all families are welcome. Registration is required.
