Cortland County Historical Society Presents: Time TravelOwls Around Us, a program about those fascinating birds you have to stay up late to see.

This program feature free monthly read-alouds and activities to engage young readers in a greater understanding and appreciation of local and American history. This month we’ll read from the books Owl: American Indian Legends Retold written by Vee Browne; Animal Predators: Owls written by Sandra Markle; and Hoot and Holler written by Alan Brown. We’ll talk about owls you can find in Cortland and make our own paper bag owl puppets to take home.

Time Travel takes place the first Saturday of every month from 10-11 a.m. at Cortland Free Library. The program is geared to ages 4-8 but all families are welcome. For more information, contact Cortland County Historical Society at (607) 756-6071. Registration is required for each child.
